How long does a DOT physical take?
Most DOT exams at Vitalis Wellness Center take 15–20 minutes.
Do you issue the DOT medical card the same day?
Yes! We issue your DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate immediately after passing your exam.
Do I need an appointment?
No — walk-ins are welcome from 9 AM to 2 PM, Monday–Friday.
Is a DOT physical a drug test?
No. A DOT physical is NOT a drug test.
It includes a urinalysis for kidney health only.
What do I need to bring with me?
Bring your driver’s license, glasses/contacts (if applicable), medication list, CPAP report (if applicable), and any important medical documents.
How long is a DOT medical card valid for?
Most medical cards are valid for up to 24 months, unless you have a medical condition that requires a shorter certification.
What happens if my blood pressure is high?
You may still pass. DOT allows certification periods of 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months, depending on your readings.
